So, Evelyn has been a little slow on the whole concept of moving. I don't think she's going to crawl anytime soon--she avoids being on her stomach like the plague and rarely lasts more than thirty seconds before rolling over. However, she has developed her own unique mode of transportation--she rocks on her bum until she has scooted herself close enough to whatever she wants to reach it. Yesterday, I was playing a game with Andrew and had to move her back (a good two feet) three different times because she kept rocking forward trying to get the game pieces. This video isn't the best illustration of her rocking scoot, but it will give you an idea.

Jacob and Emi think this is hilarious.
The fun is over! Once they start to move there is no turning back.
Of course, I love to see her playing with the stacking cups, my absolute favorite baby toy.
Way to go Evey!
walter hated tummy time too, and once he learned to rollover he would NEVER stay on his tummy.
but i have a book that says that some kids get to crawling from their tummy, and some get there from sitting on their bums and trying to reach for things, or lunging. i bet she crawls pretty soon!
That was awesome. How old is she again?
You may think this is funny, but it is so descriptive of my 14 month old. Maybe they are the same kind of kids. He still hates to roll over, but this week he has taken to "swimming" across hard floors on his belly. He still scoots almost everywhere and may walk before he gets to nursery, but I'm not counting on it.
